Our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, March 5, will feature a video with TOM LYNCH teaching his unique techniques. His watercolors absolutely glow, and he uses a lot of sprayed on paint, too. The video will be stopped occassionally to allow for discussion.
Tom Lynch has been teaching for over 30 years, and his paintings are filled with excitement and vibrant color. He'll lead us on an watercolor adventure in color, contrast, and light, as we learn new techniques from this master watercolorist.
If you have them, bring along extra spray bottles to be filled with paint and stay for the afternoon painting session to experiment with the processes learned from the video. You'll need a half sheet of Arches 140# or similar and your watercolor supplies, too. During the afternoon painting session, Marilyn Bishop will be helping artists as they delve into the processes Tom's shown via the video.
Our meeting starts at 10, with a short business meeting, followed by critiques. Tables will be set up for the afternoon painting session. Don't miss it.
